It may be the summer but that doesn't mean that Columbus Blue Jackets staffers are taking the summer off. They're keeping active and helping out around the community.

The CBJ Foundation is building playgrounds around town and many staffers came out to help build the most recent iteration.

That includes anybody and everybody from Jody Shelley to Jean-Luc Grand-Pierre. It is impressive to see former alumni who stuck around town getting the opportunity to give back. It isn't just a moment that means a lot to the foundation but to the fans as well.

Intertwining the two sides ensures that the Blue Jackets will be part of this city for years and years to come. Building this playground is an easy step for the team's foundation to make a difference. It is great to see everyone pitch in to help out.
