I'm curious, what are thoughts on Milano now? I know you said you can't really call him a prospect anymore, but do we see an actual future with the Jackets for him, or is he going to end up in the Dano/Rychel trade-bait category?

Milano is weird. He 100% has NHL skills and offensive capabilities, but his inconsistency and lack of defensive posture worry coaches. It wouldn't shock me in the slightest if he's moved this trade deadline or summer. Problem is, CBJ would be selling low, but then again, does he realistically have a place on this team? Some say yes, others say no.
I was having a conversation about this last night; do you try and keep some of the fringe NHLer's (like Milano) around for at least another two years when the expansion draft rolls around? If you loose a Boone, Bjork, or Andy, at least you have a guy like Milano that will either have developed enough to step in, or enough time has passed that you could tell that he isn't going to pan out, and can move on from.
Thanks for the effort. Elvis did answer in an interview he is coming to the U.S. for 2019. I do wonder if VV would come as well. Kivlenieks is a throw-away. Not sure he is more than a backup AHL goalie (he had limited pedigree when we brought him in to fill a spot and he has done little since getting here).
I think in reality other than the Gs it is unlikely any of the guys in the 10-20 range make an impact at the NHL level. Although I am intrigued by Berni and Wolly.
This word you keep saying...I don't think it means what you think it means.
