Palmieri isn't available, according to the sites I follow.

I'd rather Reinhart, or a better center. Need more firepower at center

1000% agree.   We just have nothing of value outside of Seth Z and the goalie pipeline

I'd be fine parting with Korpi

Who is looking for a goalie right now that is going to give up a top-6 winger/center?

Don’t have a sound answer, just saying it.

Brady; just don't forget about our eight other NHL quality defensemen.

For the reasons many of you have noted before, it's going to be hard getting good value back at the TDL, so it is possible the team you see today is the team we have. The best deal to "re-balance" our talent may come over the summer. Right now, no deal may be the best deal.

The question GM Jarmo may have to face this summer, is to get a true 1st line offensive talent back like Sam Reinhart, Kyle Conner, Teravainen or A. Sevchnikov we may have to give up either Seth or Z. (Please don't shoot me for treason, but to get the quality we need at forward, we may have to give up our best defensive players.) Our D is deep enough that it would still be a strength.

Thoughts?

I said the same thing a few days ago. With apologies to the guys up above, I don't see Palmieri becoming available as NJ has plenty of cap room. And while they need a goalie, I don't see them trading him for one of our goalies unless it's Elvis. Buffalo is even less likely to trade a forward since they are in the same boat we are. Deep on the blueline, good goalie (though the Jackets are more talented at these positions) and a putrid offense.
I think we need to look west. San Jose is in desperate need of a good goalie and could spare a forward. Vegas needs help on the blueline while having an overload of solid to good forwards. Winnipeg and Edmonton need defensemen and can afford to trade a forward. Brandon Saad is said to be available and Chicago's blueline is nearly as old as I am. Rumor has Minnesota clearing house over the summer, maybe there's something there.

I'm curious what Buffalo does this summer. Clearly what they have isn't working. Eichel, Skinner, and Dahlin aren't going anywhere, but that strieks me as a place that is going to look to shake things up this summer. I could see something, not necessarily with Columbus mind you, that moves a couple of bigger names (i.e Reinhardt) just to change the makeup of the roster.

Possibly, but I think Buffalo's problem isn't just on the ice. Buffalo reminds me of the Jackets after Dougie Mac was finally canned, a fair level of talent requiring a few pieces, here and there, to become a consistent winner. But without the right culture. More than anything else, they need their version of the JD-Jarmo-Torts leadership that made the Jackets what they are, now.

Unfortunately, and this pains me to say this, I don’t think we solve this huge issue at the TDL. Maybe this offseason - maybe.

Yep Philly Buckeye, lack of scoring prowess is a problem and I agree the best time to get good value in a hockey trade is this summer. Fortunately, with our two solid goalies + three more good goalies in the system + ten NHL quality defensemen, we have the assets to resolve the problem, without surrendering draft picks. That means we have come miles since Jarmo and Torts arrived. Five years ago we didn't have the luxury of organizational depth anywhere, so all we could do is draft and have patience.

In the meantime, we have a heck of a good team on the ice.
