Possibly my favorite Jacket ever. Loved how he played, especially against Crosby. His game 4 goal is my favorite moment in Jackets history, sweep aside. I still get chills watching it. It absolutely blew the roof off NWA. Knew this was coming, but it still sucks. Thanks for the memories, #17!
I wonder how long we will get FSO coverage if we make a deep run? I feel like the NBC guys would rather be doing anything than watch us play.
Yeah, I'm sure it is weird for them. I'm just glad we get to listen to them for these games. I hate having to listen to the national broadcast in the later rounds.
What was really strange was that Shelley and Rimmer didn't even mention the hit, even on the replay. And the 5-on-3 would have been nice. Maybe we could have had more than 30 seconds in our offensive zone. Watching our offense was like watching the 2002 Purdue game, only without Holy Buckeye. Absolutely horrid. Sad when Nash has most of our best chances and they were on the pk.
Numbers probably could have been even higher if they hadn't been showing the Reds postgame during the first 5 minutes of the game.
I threw up a bit in my mouth just reading that line of the article.
When we got to the shootout against Nashville a few weeks ago, I just laughed and thought the exact same thing. No skill players in a skills competition is not a good formula for winning.
Taking a group from church to the April 3rd game at Carolina. Hopefully, the playoffs are still on the line at that point. I would love to have a quiet van on the drive home.
Dreadful everything. Went to bed after the 3rd goal. Knew it would take a miracle to score 2 more the way they were playing.
Side comment to your side comment. I'd love to see fewer opposing fans in NWA. The Chicago game last week was nauseating.
I don't understand why we even have replay if they are going to consistently get the call wrong. So frustrating.
Sums up the weekend. Officials not doing their jobs again. Tort's post game was quite entertaining.
I'm getting tired of playing "Who will Wilson hurt this game?" everytime we play the Caps.
Love the response. At the same time, I was praying Savard wouldn't get hurt. Missing enough players right now as it is.
Yeah, Trapper, I'm having that issue as well. Lots and lots of them, to the point of not even being able to get to the comments sometimes. Seems like something is definitely off, because even when I click the comment bubble at the top of the article, sometimes it doesn't get all the way down to the comments.
It stinks that Cam went cold against Boston. Very well could have won the series if he had buried a couple of those chances. I absolutely love him, though, and I love that he wants to be in Columbus. Hope he has many great seasons ahead of him in the Union blue.
Dang. This one stings. Hopefully we can play with some fire on Monday night and get it back to Boston.
We came out like we wanted to get back at Boston for the cheap shot, and it came back to bite us. We were looking for (and getting) some big open ice hits. That's not who they are, though, and because of it, we were down 2-0 in the first 5 minutes. They have to go back to their patient, physical game that isn't based on trying to get even. From dumb penalties to sloppy stick work, they need to get back to what got them this far, and quickly. Don't want to go down 3-2.
I'm super excited about the possibility, because I live about an hour and a half from Raleigh. Much easier for me to go to PNC than to make it up to Nationwide.
Yeah, I kept thinking, "Have we had it in the offensive zone this whole time?" It was truly a dominating PP and would have been an absolute shame if they hadn't scored.
To be fair, Dubi wasn't wrong. I understand, though, as that was my first throught when I heard his comment.
What a game! Bob is a wall.
