Had a friend get me into hockey in the mid 90s. He was a Pens fan, which was a better option than cheering for a team from tsun. When the CBJ came to town in 2000, I was hooked quickly. Went to my first game in 2001, a 7-1 beatdown at the hands of St. Louis. I've watched lots of bad hockey from this team in 20 years, but the sustained success of the last few years has been really exciting. Hoping we can make some noise this spring!

Possibly my favorite Jacket ever. Loved how he played, especially against Crosby. His game 4 goal is my favorite moment in Jackets history, sweep aside. I still get chills watching it. It absolutely blew the roof off NWA. Knew this was coming, but it still sucks. Thanks for the memories, #17!

What was really strange was that Shelley and Rimmer didn't even mention the hit, even on the replay. And the 5-on-3 would have been nice. Maybe we could have had more than 30 seconds in our offensive zone. Watching our offense was like watching the 2002 Purdue game, only without Holy Buckeye. Absolutely horrid. Sad when Nash has most of our best chances and they were on the pk.

When we got to the shootout against Nashville a few weeks ago, I just laughed and thought the exact same thing. No skill players in a skills competition is not a good formula for winning.

Yeah, Trapper, I'm having that issue as well. Lots and lots of them, to the point of not even being able to get to the comments sometimes. Seems like something is definitely off, because even when I click the comment bubble at the top of the article, sometimes it doesn't get all the way down to the comments.

We came out like we wanted to get back at Boston for the cheap shot, and it came back to bite us. We were looking for (and getting) some big open ice hits. That's not who they are, though, and because of it, we were down 2-0 in the first 5 minutes. They have to go back to their patient, physical game that isn't based on trying to get even. From dumb penalties to sloppy stick work, they need to get back to what got them this far, and quickly. Don't want to go down 3-2.
