It's been known for a while that the Columbus Blue Jackets were set to bring back the cannon-themed alternate jersey, but it was unclear just how the set would look on the new adidas template. That all changed today, as both the team and adidas tweeted out closer looks.
One more difference wasn't apparent from those photos, but it appears as if the team is going to carry over the updated font (no more lowercase 'n') and perforated numbers from the primary set.
The jerseys are now available for purchase at the Blueline store. Fans won't be able to see them out on the ice, though, until October 18 against the Philadelphia Flyers, according to the team's third jersey schedule that was also released today.
