Columbus Blue Jackets center Boone Jenner is tied for first in the NHL in five-on-five goals (9), tied for third in five-on-five goals above expected (4.8), and tied for 18th in goals (11).

Jenner is on pace to lead Columbus in goals in back-to-back seasons after scoring 26 in 68 games (31-goal pace over 82 games) in 2022-23. With 11 in 23 games this season, he's on pace to score a career-high 39 goals.

Jenner should be recognized as one of the better goal-scorers in the NHL, and if he were playing in a bigger market, he'd surely receive that recognition.

Where would the Blue Jackets be without Jenner's contributions? The simple answer is probably at the bottom of the league's standings.

Jenner was just honored for becoming the Blue Jackets' all-time leader in games played, but it's time he's recognized for being one of the better goal-scorers in the NHL.
