Where does the name “1st Ohio Battery” come from?
The Blue Jackets are a team with a name and logo inspired by Ohio's tremendous Civil War legacy. The 1st Ohio Battery was a Civil War artillery battery, based out of Camp Chase in Columbus. We love cannons.
