Blue Jackets Sign Christian Jaros To One-Year, Two-Way Contract

The Columbus Blue Jackets have added insurance to the blue line.

The club has signed free agent defenseman Christian Jaros to a one-year, two-way contract for the 2025-26 season.

Jaros, 29 years old from Kosice, Slovakia, spent the last three seasons playing for the KHL's CSKA Moskva, Severstal Cherepovets, and Avangard Omsk, compiling 42 points (eight goals, 34 assists).

Jaros played three seasons in the NHL from 2017-22, spanning stops with the Ottawa Senators, San Jose Sharks, and New Jersey Devils, scoring 14 points (one goal, 13 assists). His 2018-19 season represents career highs with 61 games played, one goal, nine assists, and 10 points.
