After setting a franchise record for most points in a player's first 11 games with the franchise with 11, Blue Jackets forward Alex Nylander has been held off the scoresheet over his last four games, posting a minus-six rating and just six shots on goal.

This isn't new for Nylander, as he's had several pointless streaks of at least four games throughout his career following glimpses of solid play, which is why he's with his fourth organization since being selected by the Sabres with the No. 8 overall pick in the 2016 NHL Draft.

At five-on-five, Nylander has posted just nine shot attempts, five scoring chances, and one high-danger chance in the team's last four games, culminating with zeros across the board in those categories in the 4-2 loss to Vegas on Saturday, per NaturalStatTrick.

It was probably unrealistic to think that Nylander, a player with a 0.38-point/game average, would keep up his fantastic pace, but given his history of pointless streaks, this latest dry spell may be a sign of things to come.

With just 11 games remaining in the season, can Nylander finish strong?
