The Columbus Blue Jackets fell tonight in Washington by a 4-3 final. Here's the reaction from inside the locker room following a tough loss against a divisional rival.

John Tortorella

On if this game was playing the right way for the Blue Jackets: "I thought we showed some resiliency. Two offensive zone penalties back-to-back, have a bad change on one goal... those are the things that hurt you in this type of game. But I like the way we kept on coming back."

On Pierre-Luc Dubois's line: "We gotta get more from other guys, but that line certainly was very good tonight."

On Artemi Panarin and his chemistry with the line: "I think he's played good with them all along. I just think [Panarin] the last two games has upped his compete. I thought he hit a little bit of a lull there for a few games but the last couple games he has really been strong on the puck."

On Matt Calvert: "He was okay."

Nick Foligno

On the start by the Capitals: "That's how they play here [at home], they play hard here. They feed off their crowd, that's how they play. Once we started using our bodies, they had fits with us down low."

On how the team fought on the back end of a back-to-back: "I'm proud of us. One thing about our team, we're in shape. You go through a training camp like we do, I think there's no excuse on that one."

Matt Calvert

On the third period play: "We kept battling back, which is a huge positive."

On the game: "We had our chances, but just a few breakdowns, I thought we shot ourselves in the foot a few times. Just minor things we could've had."

On what contributed to the high amount of time in the offensive zone: "Moving the puck East-West, getting it low, playing to our strength. That's where we have our success."

On being energized for the game: "They definitely keep you up on the cardio here."

On his shorthanded goal fresh off injury: "It felt great to get that goal right away."
