The Columbus Blue Jackets fired 36 shots at Carolina Hurricanes goalie Scott Darling but only managed to sneak one into the net, falling to their divisional rival 2-1. This was the final time the two squads meet this season, the Blue Jackets going 2-2 in games that haven't exactly been the most entertaining watch.

Here is the reaction from inside the locker room.

John Tortorella

On the game: "I don't think we got away from it, I don't think we really got to it as far as rebounds... just not getting a lot of second opportunities. They score a couple of flukey goals, I just don't think we generate enough second chances."

On controlling the play against a potentially tired team: "I thought we controlled the play, I thought we had our forecheck, but give them some credit. I thought Darling made some key saves at key times. Whether it's us or them defending that well we're just not getting enough second chances."

On what is causing the lack of rebounds: "No traffic in front."

Cam Atkinson

On the game: "When we were playing well we were getting pucks deep and forechecking hard and creating turnovers, I think we got away from that."

On his assist: "It started with a good forecheck from [Oliver Bjorkstrand] and he made a play, and like I told you in between periods just won the battle. I saw [Alexander Wennberg] going to the net, stick on ice, and he made a nice tip."

On whether a one- or two-goal night after a six-goal night is frustrating: "We're use to these one or two goal games."

Josh Anderson

On the Hurricanes in the third period: "[They] played solid defense in the third period, they protected the lead really well."

On playing the Hurricanes: "[They're] a little frustrating to play. A team that high-flips it on our D, and it's tough when you get that bouncing puck and they make our D turn a lot."
