Columbus Blue Jackets defenseman Ryan Murray appears to finally be returning to the team's lineup after an extended absence on injured reserve.

After being assigned to the Cleveland Monsters of the American Hockey League (AHL) for a conditioning assignment, Murray was recalled after one game. It appears that Murray will play against the New Jersey Devils on Feb. 20.

In that one game, Murray did have one goal proving to provide a quick impact. The game was the first and only game that he has played for a Blue Jacket AHL affiliate.

Murray in 24 games with the Blue Jackets this season has one goal and four assists for a total of five points on the season. In addition to his points, Murray is having one of his best seasons in regard to shot differential as well.

Two other moves were made along with the Murray call-up. Defenseman Dean Kukan was placed on injured reserve after suffering an upper-body injury against the Pittsburgh Penguins. Kukan is expected to miss one week with the injury. Kukan has four assists in ten games this season.

Forward Zac Dalpe was also called up if an injured forward is unable to go in the Blue Jackets next game against the Devils. Dalpe has 13 penalty minutes in ten games this season.
