The Columbus Blue Jackets will take on another tough road opponent in the Philadelphia Flyers. A win against the Flyers and the Blue Jackets would be making big headway in the Metropolitan Division.

The newly acquired goaltender for the Flyers' Petr Mrazek is expected to make his first start against the Blue Jackets tonight. Will luck be on his side?

Three Storylines
  • Mrazek On The Move:  The Flyers have recently been struck by the injury bug and they are trying to make sure that they continue at their current pace. When goaltender Michael Neuvirth went down, they immediately acquired former Detroit Red Wings' netminder Petr Mrazek. Mrazek always has had high-end potential but could never meet the standard set forth. With a fresh start, he will try and make his impact felt with the Flyers' as he is expected to start against the Blue Jackets.
  • Just Keep Shooting: The Blue Jackets had been outshooting opponents consistently and it led to a couple of offensive outbursts. Against the New Jersey Devils, it was the first time they had been outshot in nine games. They will need to keep putting the pressure on their opponents if they want to win consistently. The Flyers are a team that can push the pace, the Blue Jackets will need to counter with establishing themselves territorially.
  • Who's On First:  Who's on first? It may seem like a silly question but the Blue Jackets have made multiple moves over the past couple of days. They recalled forward Nathan Gerbe and claimed defenseman Taylor Chorney off of waivers. Then forward Nick Foligno and defenseman Markus Nutivaara were placed on injured reserve. Who is going to be playing and who is going to be on the sideline?
