The Jackets are hot – and hitting a laundry list of milestones as of late, too – taking down the Calgary Flames 5-1 on the road in a game where seemingly everything went right. Here's what the squad had to say after the final horn.

John Tortorella

On the team’s run: You can’t map it out, you can’t coach it, it just happened that way. We still have a few more we have to keep on taking it one game at a time. I still don’t think we played that badly in the playoffs [last year], but going through this whole situation it’s been a really good process for a young team, to have the pressure and also the excitement of an opportunity to find your way. In a league where everyone else keeps on winning, it’s a really good process for our team. I just hope we keep ourselves above water, keep our heads and get ready to play our next game.

On becoming the franchise’s winningest coach: I don’t want to disrespect the other coaches, I don’t want to disrespect the organization, I’ve been fortunate to have been given the opportunity to work with a pretty good team and good people around me. I’m not intersted in the numbers, I’m just interested in trying to keep on growing with this team, and trying to find our way as we’re working with a few games left to find our way.

Pierre-Luc Dubois

On the team’s hot play: The pieces we got at the deadline helped us a lot, they’re playing really well and giving us something we didn’t have before, some of that experience. Great guys too, we’re on a roll right now and I think we’re playing really well, so we’ve just gotta keep it going.

On breaking Rick Nash’s record for rookie goals: It’s fun, I wasn’t really thinking about that, but it was fun tonight. even better that we got two points.

On Sergei Bobrovsky: He’s outstanding every night, unfortunately we couldn't get that shutout for him at the end. I keep saying i think he’s the best goalie in the league.

On completing a hat trick: [I’ve done it] a lot in video games, when I put it on rookie so I can score a couple of goals, but it feels even better to get it in real life… They kept on telling me to shoot the puck, when your linemates make passes like that, it’s easy to get goals.

On the run of hat tricks: We’re trying to figure out who’s going to be next. We talked about our playing in the o-zone, trying to get guys in front, we’re scoring a lot of goals. It’s a matter of time before someone else gets another hat trick.

Markus Hannikainen

On the quick start: That start was huge, as we saw, huge start for us and we got our game going and they never got back, so big win for us.

On Bobrovsky: Bob was amazing in the net, we gave up too many chances and we’ve gotta clean that up for the next game.

On scoring a goal: It means a lot, as I’m battling and working hard out there, you can’t see that every day, but I’ve been putting in the work to be ready when the time comes to make the most of it.

On the team’s recent hot play: Every game is a new game. we have to keep on thinking one game at a time and the rest will come
