The Columbus Blue Jackets have added another player to the prospect pipeline officially.
Forward Jonathan Davidsson has officially signed an entry-level contract with the Blue Jackets. The deal is for three-years.
In 52 games in the Swedish Hockey League last season for Djurgårdens IF, he scored ten goals and pitched in with 21 assists as well for a total of 31 points.
From general manager Jarmo Kekalainen in the team's press release:
"Jonathan is a fast, skilled player who put up good numbers in the Swedish Hockey League this season," said Kekalainen. "He is a smart player and mature young man and we believe he has a very bright future with our organization."
Davidsson's numbers at even strength were some of the top numbers in the league despite his lack of ice time. It has a possibility to translate into big things in pro hockey.
