Day One Recap of Blue Jacket Players Participating in the 2018 IIHF World Championships

Over 12 Blue Jackets will be participating in the 2018 IIHF World Championships. That means a lot of hockey for the players that are in Denmark taking part in the tournament.

The United States defeated Canada 5-4 via the shootout, Russia defeated France by a score of 7-0 and Denmark defeated Germany 3-2 via the shootout.

Here is how the players did during the first day of the tournament:

Ryan Murray (Canada): Two shots, 21:56 of ice time and had an even plus/minus

Pierre-Luc Dubois (Canada): One goal, two penalty minutes, three shots and 18:03 in ice time

Cam Atkinson (USA): One shootout goal (technically two), one assist, two shots on goal and 16:42 in ice time.

Sonny Milano (USA): Zero shots on goal, three shifts and 1:14 in ice time.

Vladislav Gavrikov (Russia): One shot on goal and 12:07 in total ice time.

Alexandre Texier (France): Zero shots on goal, a -2 plus/minus, and 11:29 in total ice time.

Oliver Bjorkstrand (Denmark): One shot on goal, even plus/minus and 18:45 in ice time.
