Blue Jackets Defeat New York Rangers in a Game That Was Much Closer then It Needed to Be.

On a night when Rick Nash was getting honored, the Blue Jackets played like they were trying to impress him.

It was an absolute offensive onslaught all night long. They were shooting from all angles, and it made the night hell for the New York Rangers.

In the first period, each team scored two goals apiece. Artemi Panarin and Anthony Duclair scored for the Blue Jackets.

The second period saw the Blue Jackets really break out. They had goals from Nick Foligno, Lukas Sedlak, and Cam Atkinson. All the goals came in different ways.

The third period saw the Blue Jackets take some goals on the chin. Nonetheless, the Blue Jackets were able to come back and make up the goals. 

Artemi Panarin, Ryan Murray and Cam Atkinson all ended the game with two points apiece.

Injury Update

Both Markus Hannikainen and Brandon Dubinsky are out with injury.
