The Blue Jackets recalled forward Trey Fix-Wolansky from the AHL on Thursday after forward Emil Bemstrom cleared waivers and was assigned to the Cleveland Monsters. The Blue Jackets placed Bemstrom, who has posted 3-1--4 in 12 games this season and 29-33--62 in 194 games, on waivers on Wednesday.
Among players with at least seven AHL games played this season, Fix-Wolansky leads the league in points per game, posting 4-12--16 in 11 contests with the Monsters. In 15 NHL games, he's recorded 2-1--3 since making his NHL debut in 2021-22. The Blue Jackets selected him with the No. 204 overall pick in the 2018 Draft. He's in the first year of a two-year, $775k AAV deal.
