Blue Jackets prospect Jordan Dumais was named MVP of the QMJHL Thursday. Previous award-winners include Sidney Crosby, Mario Lemieux, Dale Hawerchuk, and Denis Savard.

Dumais, 19, was selected by the Blue Jackets in the third round, 69th overall, in the 2022 Draft, and scored 54-86--140 in 64 games, leading the league in assists and points while finishing behind Connor Bedard as the CHL's second-leading scorer.

Dumais' Halifax Mooseheads are in the QMJHL finals against the Quebec Remparts, a team headlined by fellow Blue Jackets prospect James Malatesta. The series begins Friday. However, Dumais hasn't played since April 30th with an injury.

After scoring 39-70--109 in 68 games last year, Dumais followed up his draft-eligible season with a campaign to remember.
