It looks like Zach Werenski has come back stronger than ever.

At least if you look at his stat line from his first preseason game of this year, you'd believe that Werenski was The Terminator.

Werenski had one heck of a stat line: four assists, five shots on goal, one blocked shot and 25:00 minutes of ice time. He did all of this after coming off a major shoulder surgery. This in addition to the Blue Jackets winning their game against the Pittsburgh Penguins by a score of 7-6.

Werenski will definitively need to step up in the absence of Seth Jones, who will be out four to six weeks with a knee injury.

The Blue Jackets back end is becoming increasingly thin (especially after losing Scott Harrington early in Friday's game), but a full-strength Werenski ensures that the team will be in good hands. It remains to be seen just how far he can take them.

Columbus plays its preseason finale tomorrow night against the Chicago Blackhawks at 8:00 p.m. at the United Center.
