Another late-round draft pick could be preparing to make a splash for the Blue Jackets.

Russian defenseman Vladislav Gavrikov, the team's sixth-round pick in the 2015 draft, has been offered a contract by the Columbus organization, according to a report from Sports.Ru. According to the report, the player's agent, Dan Milstein, said Gavrikov will make his decision after the playoff season concludes for his team, Lokomotiv Yaroslavl of the KHL.

Gavrikov is listed at either 6-2 or 6-3 and close to 200 pounds. You can see him in action here.

A native of Yaroslavl, the 21-year-old left-handed shot has been in the KHL since 2014-15. The past two seasons, he has played in 96 games, totaling six goals and eight assists along with a plus-25 rating. In this year's Gagarin Cup playoffs, he has a 1-4-5 line and plus-5 rating in 12 games.

Gavrikov has also played well in international play, being named the best defenseman at the 2015 World Junior Championships while on the silver-medal-winning Russian team.
