The season may be over for the Blue Jackets but plenty players from the team are still competing internationally.

Most Blue Jackets' participants are either prospects or were playing for the Cleveland Monsters. The lone exception is William Karlsson.

All have made an impact in different ways. As the tournament moves out of group play, these are the players and their output thus far.

Oleg Yevenko: Belarus - ELIMINATED

In seven games played, Yevenko, who played this past season with the Cleveland Monsters, put up zero points. He also had a team worst +/- of -9 for the tournament.

Yevenko is a restricted free agent going into this summer.

Markus Hannikainen and Joonas Korpisalo: Finland - MADE PLAYOFFS

Tale of two players in this tournament. Hannikainen is tied for fifth on the team in points having scored two goals and one assist. He also has a team best +/- of 4.

Team Finland has had trouble keeping the puck out of the back of the net. It is being compounded by poor play defensively and less than stellar play in net. In five games, Korpisalo has put up a .873 save percentage and a goals against average of 3.30. To make matters worse for the young Finnish netminder, he has only faced 110 total shots. A very low mark.

Hannikainen has two more years left on his deal and Korpisalo is a restricted free agent this summer.

Finland will be facing the United States in the quarterfinal round.

Elvis Merzlikins: Latvia - ELIMINATED

The best showing of any Blue Jackets associated player in the tournament, Merzlikins put up a .937 save percentage in six games. He also posted a goals against average of 1.98. His Latvian team almost made it on to the next round but fell in the shootout against Germany.

Merzlikins has two years remaining on his deal and will be free to join the Blue Jackets after the 2018-19 season.

Vladislav Gavrikov: Russia - MADE PLAYOFFS

The Blue Jackets former seventh round draft pick has looked right at home on a stacked blue line. In seven games, Gavrikov has put up a goal and one assist for two points. He has two penalty minutes in those games. He has also posted a tournament high +/- of 8.

Gavrikov is currently mulling a decision whether to join the Blue Jackets or stay in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL).

Russia will be playing the Czech Republic in the quarterfinals.

William Karlsson: Sweden - MADE PLAYOFFS

After a strong end to his season, Karlsson has continued that play at the World Championship. In seven games, Karlsson has posted one goal and two assists. As well as posting a +/- of 7.

He also is fifth in the tournament in face off percentage with 63.2%.

Karlsson has one year remaining on his deal. Sweden will be playing Switzerland in the quarterfinals.

Dean Kukan: Switzerland - MADE PLAYOFFS

Kukan was a steadying force for the Cleveland Monsters this past season. This World Championship, he has been a big part of a surprising Swiss team.

In seven games, Kukan has put up one assist as well as two penalty minutes.

Kukan is a restricted free agent this summer. His Swiss team will be playing William Karlsson's Team Sweden in the quarterfinals.
