Make sure to mark your calendars. The Columbus Blue Jackets now have a schedule.

Earlier this week, the Blue Jackets released that their home opener was going to be Friday, October 6 against the New York Islanders.

There are plenty of juicy tidbits in the announcement. March is the busiest month they'll play in as they have 16 games on the docket. 47 of their games are going to be played on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

They also will play in 17 back-to-back's, including the first two nights of the season. They play the Islanders at Nationwide Arena and the next day play the Chicago Blackhawks on Saturday, October 7 at the United Center. The team's longest road trip will only be three games and it will occur three times throughout the season.

The New Year's Eve game will be at home this season as they play the Tampa Bay Lighting at 6 P.M. The home finale takes place against the Pittsburgh Penguins in the penultimate game of the season.

I doubt that there will be any drama or intrigue around that game, right?

You can find the entire schedule here on the Blue Jackets website.
