The Swedish picks continue for the Columbus Blue Jackets in the sixth round of the 2017 NHL Draft.

In the 6th round of the NHL Draft with the 170th pick, the Blue Jackets selected forward Jonathan Davidsson. He played for Djurgårdens in the Swedish Hockey League (SHL) this past season.

During the 2016-17 season Davidsson played 44 games in the SHL and put up 12 points. He scored three goals and helped with nine assists. He also played in the SuperElit (Swedish Junior League) where he played 11 games and posted 12 points.

Like Kale Howarth in the round before him, Davidsson is an overage player and is 20-years old. He will play for Djurgårdens in the SHL during the 2017-18 season.
