The Jackets lost a tough one in Pittsburgh tonight, falling in a shootout after a rowdy game. Here's what some of the guys had to say following the game – Torts, in particular, had quite a bit to say.

Head coach John Tortorella

"It was a crazy game. Found a way to battle back in and get a point. Kind of wish we just let the teams decide the game instead of letting other people get involved in it. Two teams going at it hard. We’ll take the point, and a lot of good things come out of it, and we’ll go on to our next game."

On Boone Jenner’s game misconduct: "I don’t get it. It’s barely a two-minute penalty. I hope we take a long look at that, at least rescind it so we don’t have that on his record. I just don’t understand it, you can’t guess on those type of plays. It’s not even close to a game misconduct to me."

On Artemi Panarin’s face off violation: "It’s a rule. The teams can’t decide the games, other people decide the games. They made the right call. But it’s frustrating that we just don’t let the guys who are supposed to put on the show, put on the show."

On Lukas Sedlak’s fight with Ryan Reaves: "I think he’s dumb to do it, but high marks for doing it."

On the team’s performance: "I thought we hung right in there. That team is in a desperate mode too as far as some of the tough losses they’ve had of late. I’m proud of our team, we had to fight through a lot of different things to find a way. We were a penalty shot away from winning the game, we’re happy with the point and we’ll go."

On the Penguins: "I don’t care about that team, I don’t coach them."

On Pierre-Luc Dubois matching up with Sidney Crosby: "Baptism by fire, and he stood right in there. He’s not afraid of anything. Did he make some mistakes? Yeah. But he made some really good plays and he stood right in there. Played a lot against Crosby’s line. I’m just really impressed with his mindset."

On Artemi Panarin’s playmaking: "I don’t know how many scoring chances we had throughout the game, but I think Bread was probably involved in 80 percent of them, he was that good. I’ll leave it at that."

On game’s intensity: "That’s the way you’re supposed to play the game. They were hitting, we were hitting, a couple of fights here and there… everybody else, get out of the way and let the players decide the games. That’s what sucks, it’s just frustrating to me."

Pierre-Luc Dubois

"I just played my game, whatever happens happens."

On playing Crosby: "We played him in preseason, that was actually the first time. They had a full lineup and so did we. After that, he’s just another player. I don’t treat anybody differently. He’s a good player in this league, but there’s a lot of good players."

On the Penguins: "They’re a good team. We’re a really good team, too. We hit two posts in overtime, we had a lot of chances. They’re a tough team to play against."

Nick Foligno

"Weird game, the way it played out. We knew it was going to be tight checking, we were coming off a back to back and we just needed to make sure we were smart. That’s a good team that was waiting for us, and it could have gone either way tonight."

It’s two teams with a lot of history. Emotions are going to run wild. There’s guys on their team that aren’t afraid of it and there’s guys on our team that aren’t afraid of it, that makes for fun hockey and a great rivalry."

On Boone Jenner’s game misconduct: "I don’t want to comment too much, but that was a weird one, for him to go out of the game, that hurts. He’s a big part of our engine."

On Evgeni Malkin’s punch: "I had no idea what he was mad about at first, and then I got really mad after that. It’s part of hockey."
