Blue Jackets Forward Sonny Milano Out Four to Six Weeks With Torn Oblique Muscle

The Columbus Blue Jackets will be down another player for an extended period. 

The team announced that forward Sonny Milano would be out for four to six weeks with a torn oblique muscle. The injury took place against the Toronto Maple Leafs on January 8.

 

In 35 games this season, Milano has scored eight goals and pitched in with five assists for a total of 13 points on the season. 

As a corresponding move, forward Tyler Motte was recalled from the Cleveland Monsters of the American Hockey League (AHL). Motte has played in 29 games for the Blue Jackets this season scoring three goals and providing one assist for a total of four points. 

The Blue Jackets return from their league-mandated bye week on January 18 at Nationwide Arena against the Dallas Stars.
