The Blue Jackets aren't done yet.

Still seeking scoring depth, they made a move to bring in veteran forward Thomas Vanek from the Vancouver Canucks. GM Jarmo Kekalainen wasn't able to get two higher-profile targets previously (Matt Duchene and then Derick Brassard), so he turned to a rental winger who has shown the ability to score goals.

Vanek has 17 goals this season – one back of the Blue Jackets scoring lead held by Josh Anderson (and equal with Artemi Panarin) – and will likely be selectively deployed, with a role on the Blue Jackets' inconsistent power play.

Columbus reportedly sent Tyler Motte and Jussi Jokinen to Vancouver, but the club (as of 3:45 p.m. ET) had not officially confirmed the move. Stay tuned.
