Cam Atkinson finished the NHL season on a tear for the Columbus Blue Jackets, lighting up opposing goaltenders to the tune of 11 goals in his last 11 regular season games. Turns out he's still a lethal goal scorer outside of North America, too.
Atkinson, a member of Team USA at IIHF World Hockey Championships this summer, has stood out among the tournament's most dynamic players in the initial group stage, which concluded this morning.

The only player on his team with more points is his linemate, Patrick Kane, who has long been one of the NHL's premier scorers. Team USA finished group play tied atop Group B with Finland, the team that beat them 6-2 earlier today. Blue Jackets defenseman Markus Nutivaara has been a key cog in the Finnish machine this tournament as well, with eight points in seven games played.
