What's old is (kind of) new again.

The Blue Jackets announced Monday that two former players – Jared Boll and Fedor Tyutin, who both recently ended their NHL playing careers – are joining the club in hockey operations roles.

Boll, who played nine seasons with the Blue Jackets, was hired as an assistant player development coach and will work with Chris Clark, Jarkko Ruutu and Gregory Campbell. He played 518 games with Columbus from 2007-16 before having his contract bought out, and then finished his career with the Anaheim Ducks.

Tyutin played 553 games in a Blue Jackets sweater over eight seasons, and now joins the team as a scout. No defenseman has played more games for Columbus in team history than Tyutin, who was acquired from the New York Rangers – and he ranks second in games played by a Blue Jacket, behind only Rick Nash (674).
