Some reinforcements for the organization.

The Blue Jackets activated forwards Yegor Chinakhov and Carson Meyer off of IR and loaned them both to the AHL's Cleveland Monsters, the club announced Monday.

Chinakhov has missed the team's last 29 games after suffering an ankle injury on Dec. 19 against Dallas. He has recorded four goals and 13 points in 30 games so far this season.

Meyer has been out for the club's last 20 games after suffering an oblique strain on Jan. 10 against Tampa Bay. He has yet to post a point in 13 games this season.

This is welcome news as the Blue Jackets have been absolutely decimated by injuries, totaling 414 man-games lost this season.

The Monsters have 21 games left in their season. We will see how many games, if any, Chinakhov and Meyer will play in the AHL before being recalled by the Jackets.
