Columbus Blue Jackets Announce 2017-18 Opening Night Roster

The Columbus Blue Jackets have announced their opening night roster for when the team will face off against the New York Islanders on Friday, October 6 at Nationwide Arena. The team will have 13 forwards, eight defensemen and two goaltenders going into opening night.

The most surprising inclusion on this list is that of Zac Dalpe. Dalpe is a career AHLer that has bounced around the league. After a strong training camp, he has beaten out upstart Tyler Motte for one of the final spots on the roster.
