An average start to the year may be getting worse for Columbus Blue Jackets center Alexander Wennberg.

Wennberg wasn't present at the team's morning skate today and when head coach John Tortorella spoke to the media he said he was "not sure on Wenny." He also indicated that he was nicked up as well.

Wennberg has been criticized for his early season play but as of this moment is the top center in both points and assists. He has one goal and eight assists for a total of nine points in 18 games this season.

If Wennberg were to miss Tuesday's game against the Montreal Canadiens, it would be the first game he has missed during the 2017-18 season.
