In a less than spirited affair, the Columbus Blue Jackets may be getting even worse news as one of their centers went down with an injury.

With over a minute left in a 7-2 loss to the Edmonton Oilers, forward Zach Kassian approached Brandon Dubinsky for a fight off of the faceoff.

Dubinsky reluctantly agrees to the fight and after catching a left to the face puts his head down in hopes of not catching anymore punches.

In the above gif, you can see that there is blood all over Dubinsky's face and it even appears that there is blood around Dubinsky's eye.

After the game, both medical staff and the front office were concerned about the well being of Dubinsky.

For a player that normally fights with regularity, this scrap was anything but regular. No other penalties were called on the play other than the five for fighting for both Kassian and Dubinsky.
