Columbus Blue Jacket fans are hoping that their prospects can jump right in and be difference makers on the ice. That includes being a leader in the locker room.

Blue Jacket prospect Trey Fix-Wolansky is fitting the bill and hoping to exceed expectations. Fix-Wolansky was named team captain of his WHL team, the Edmonton Oil Kings.

The Oil Kings have missed the WHL playoffs the past two years, but it is no fault of Fix-Wolansky. He has been a strong pivot for the team and will continue to do so on an improving team.

In 2016-17, Fix-Wolansky played in 70 games putting up 54 points. In 2017-18, he played 71 games and put up 89 points during that time.

Fix Wolansky's game continues to improve, and if he leads his team to a much better season, he will find himself with a contract.
