If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

For a change of pace, the Blue Jackets are getting consistent play from their goaltenders lately – and it's being led by Sergei Bobrovsky.

He's won his last four starts, beginning last Tuesday in Colorado and carrying straight through the road trip where the Blue Jackets went 3-0-0, and then came home to shut out the Washington Capitals two nights ago at Nationwide Arena (in a game that's usually a tricky one for teams coming off a road trip). Bobrovsky has certainly had an up-and-down season filled with news both on the ice and off, and John Tortorella said this morning that he's riding the hot hand.

It's a big game tonight for both teams, as the Blue Jackets look to close the gap on the New York Islanders, who currently sit five points ahead of Columbus in the Metropolitan Division standings.

"There wasn't much action in front of him (Tuesday)," Tortorella said pre-game on Thursday. "It's a tough game for a goalie to play and it ends being 1-0 going (into the stretch). Bob had to make some key saves when it was 1-0 and he didn't have much action. Bob is always working on his concentration no matter what's going on in his game. He's a pro. He works at staying ready.

"I think he's found some consistency in a year that has been inconsistent, and I think he's at the top of his game right now."
