Welcome to NHL trade deadline days, folks.
The Columbus Blue Jackets have acquired goaltender Keith Kinkaid from the New Jersey Devils in exchange for a 2022 fifth-round draft pick.
It's certainly an exciting start to the final day of trading for the Blue Jackets. This will undoubtedly draw speculation towards the movement of goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky - though nothing is confirmed on that idea.
Dont believe this portends a Sergei Bobrovsky trade, but well see. Sense in goalie community as this trade percolated this morning is that Kinkaid is a more reliable option than Joonas Korpisalo should Bobrovsky struggle in post-season. See also if Korpisalo is now on the move.— Aaron Portzline (@Aportzline) February 25, 2019
Keith Kinkaid has a record of 15-18-6 for the New Jersey Devils on the season, with a 3.36 GAA and .891 SV%. Stay tuned as we keep you updated on what could be a hectic day.
