The Blue Jackets have selected Swedish defenseman Eric Hjorth with the 104th pick in the 4th round.

Hjorth played for a U18 club in Linkoping and also played one game for the U20 team as well. He was a two-point per game player for the U18 club. He put up zero points in one game for the U20 game.

Hjorth is listed as 6'3" and is described as a mobile defenseman that can skate well with the puck on his stick.

He was out most of the 2018-19 due to a knee injury. With limited time on the ice, it will be interesting to see Hjorth get consistent ice time and grow from there.
