What a game at Nationwide Arena tonight.

The Blue Jackets showed that they still have some fight left despite a disappointing season. They turned around two one-goal deficits to defeat the Nashville Predators, 4-2.

Tanner Jeannot got the scoring started in this one, beating Elvis Merzlikins with a wraparound early in the first period. After 20 minutes, Nashville still held that slim advantage, 1-0.

In the second period, Jack Roslovic tied the game with a power-play goal, notching his 100th NHL point in the process. He batted the puck past Juuse Saros, tying the game at 1-1.

Then, a wayward pass from Patrik Laine gave the Predators a 2-on-0 break the other way. Calle Jarnkrok found the back of the net, and the Predators had a 2-1 lead. However, that wouldn't last for long. With 50.9 seconds remaining in the second period, Oliver Bjorkstrand uncorked a wrister that beat Saros, and tied the game up once again. It was a 2-2 contest heading into the final 20 minutes.

Mikhail Grigorenko provided the third-period heroics, tipping home a shot from Vladislav Gavrikov to give the Blue Jackets a 3-2 lead. Bjorkstrand added an empty-netter to seal the deal.

Injury Update

Zac Dalpe and Alexandre Texier were late scratches from the Blue Jackets' lineup. Dalpe will miss the remainder of the season with a lower-body injury, while Texier is day-to-day with a lower-body injury.
