If the Flyers win or go to overtime Monday night, the Blue Jackets are eliminated. If they lose in regulation, two more things need to happen:
- The Flyers must then lose in regulation again Tuesday when they face the Canadiens.
- The Blue Jackets must win in regulation Tuesday night when they face the Capitals.
