The future is coming into view for the Columbus Blue Jackets and one player seems to keep coming back as a centerpiece of it all: goaltender Elvis Merzlikins.
Lindsey Cussen was able to get an interview with Merzlikins and was able to get him to open up about his time in Switzerland. He talks about where his passion for the sport comes from and how it has all come into focus; on top of it all, he discusses stats and gives his own take.
It's a fascinating interview that gives you insight into a player that isn't (yet) well known. Getting to see more of his personality shows another side that we wouldn't otherwise see. It is a credit to Cussen that she was able to get him to open up in such a way.
