Barrios (29-2-2, 18 KOs) won the WBC interim welterweight title in September 2023 with a unanimous decision victory over Yordenis Ugas. He was upgraded to full champion in 2024 and has made two successful defenses since, fighting to controversial draws against Abel Ramos and, most recently, Manny Pacquiao this past July.
Barrios formerly held the WBA (regular) super lightweight title from 2019 until he lost it against Gervonta "Tank" Davis in 2021.
Garcia (24-2, 20 KOs), one of boxing’s biggest stars, is a former WBC interim lightweight champion. Garcia was defeated by WBA welterweight champion Rolando "Rolly" Romero this past May. The fight was Garcia's first since his no-contest with Devin Haney in April 2024.
Garcia, who was originally declared the winner over Haney, failed a drug test for ostarine following the bout and served a one-year ban for the infraction. Garcia has also shared the ring with "Tank" Davis, getting stopped in the seventh round of their 136-pound catchweight bout in 2023.
The Barrios vs. Garcia prelims begin at 6:30 p.m. ET and can be watched on Uncrowned here.
The main card starts at 8 p.m. ET on DAZN pay-per-view, with main event ring walks expected around 11:50 p.m. ET.
