Cam Atkinson did a Cam Atkinson thing late in the first period of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals Sunday night.
With his Blue Jackets team trailing the Washington Capitals 2-0, Atkinson tucked a breakaway past Caps goalie Philipp Grubauer's skate to cut Washington's lead in the game to 2-1.
The goal was something special. It was Atkinson's fourth career playoff goal and the first of this postseason.
But the stretch pass from captain Nick Foligno to set up the breakaway may have been even better.
