Now that the All-Star break and the bye are behind them, the Blue Jackets are back to playing a full slate of games this week.

More than halfway through the season, the Blue Jackets are tied for second in the Metropolitan Division – but that's only two points ahead of seventh place. Here's what's in store over the next seven days:

Tonight: Wild Thing, You Make My Heart Sing

For their 50th game of the season, the Columbus Blue Jackets face off with the Minnesota Wild at Nationwide Arena. The Blue Jackets and the Wild have the same number of points (57) at this stage of the season, making this a fairly even match-up on paper. Puck drops at 7 p.m. on Fox Sports Ohio.

Friday: Na na...

The San Jose Sharks swim into Nationwide next for another 7 p.m. tilt. This will be the first meeting of the season between the two squads, each second place in their respective divisions. The Sharks will be without top center Joe Thornton and goalie Martin Jones, who are both on the IR with lower-body injuries. On television you can find it on Fox Sports Ohio once again.

Saturday: On An Island

The Blue Jackets conclude this week with a home-and-road back-to-back, traveling to Brooklyn to play the New York Islanders. The Blue Jackets stand at 2-0-0 against the Islanders, scoring a combined 11 goals in the two games. Will the offense hum once again against a Metropolitan Division opponent? Tune in at 7 p.m. on Fox Sports Ohio.
