Another injury.

The Blue Jackets announced that Gustav Nyquist will be out indefinitely due to an upper-body injury he suffered in the first period of Wednesday night's win against the Oilers.

Nyquist has scored 10 goals and 22 points in 48 games for the Blue Jackets this season and was one of two Blue Jackets to have played every game in the 2022-23 campaign, along with Johnny Gaudreau.

This injury will likely impact the Blue Jackets' trade negotiations with other teams, as Nyquist, a pending unrestricted free agent, was expected to be a player moved on or near the deadline. Now, that is up in the air.

His injury is another to a long list of injuries the Blue Jackets have suffered. Entering Friday, the Blue Jackets had 321 man-games lost in 2022-23.
