1st Period

After Ryan Poehling's entry pass took a weird bounce, it found Joel Farabee, who had inside position on Yegor Chinakhov, and used that to drive to the net and beat Spencer Martin with a backhand shot to open the scoring at 5:11.

The Blue Jackets had a chance to tie the game at 13:44 after Johnny Gaudreau found Boone Jenner at the left circle, but Jenner hit the post.

Alexandre Texier tied the game at 15:02 with a left-circle wrist shot after receiving a cross-ice feed from Sean Kuraly.

Nearly two minutes later, Mathieu Olivier and Nicolas Deslauriers fought at 16:59.

The teams were tied at one after the first period with Philadelphia outshooting Columbus 11-9.

2nd Period

Bobby Brink gave the Flyers the lead at 1:11 on the power play with a left-circle wrist shot where he had all day to shoot.

After Sean Walker took the puck from Adam Fantilli, who received an unclean pass from Damon Severson, he sent Poehling on a short-handed two-on-zero rush where he scored on an assist from Garnet Hathaway at 6:41.

Jenner was able to answer for the Jackets, deflecting Provorov's shot from the left circle following a net-mouth scramble started by a Gaudreau shot.

The Flyers led 3-2 heading into the third period and took a 22-16 advantage in shots on goal along with them.

3rd Period

Owen Tippett had a chance to double the Flyers' lead at 11:44 with a shot off the rush but Martin made a good save.

The Flyers took a 4-2 lead at 12:40 after the Blue Jackets got caught in a change and Travis Konecny scored from the bottom of the right circle.

Cam York added an empty-net goal at 17:34 to give the Flyers a 5-2 lead.

With the loss, the Blue Jackets fell to 4-11-4.
