1st Period

Ivan Provorov opened the scoring with his third tally of the season at 1:41 with a wrist shot from the top of the point that beat Kraken goalie Joey Daccord.

Adam Fantilli picked up the assist on the goal and moved to second place among rookies in points with 25 (11-14--25).

After receiving an amazing flip pass from Adam Larsson, Jordan Eberle skated down the right wing and fired a right-circle shot past Blue Jackets goalie Daniil Tarasov to tie the game at 11:37.

Provorov scored his second goal of the game and fourth of the season at 12:10 when his wrist shot from the point deflected off of Brian Dumoulin and in. With that goal, Provorov became the first player in NHL history to score two goals on his birthday.

The Kraken tied the game at 15:31 when former Blue Jacket Oliver Bjorkstrand found McCann in the slot, who fired a low shot past Tarasov.

The teams were tied at two goals apiece after the first period with Seattle holding a 14-9 lead in shots on goal.

2nd Period

Kirill Marchenko gave the Blue Jackets a 3-2 lead on a five-on-three power play with his 14th goal of the season, firing a one-timer from the left circle at 4:43.

Tye Kartye tied the game for Seattle on the power play at 9:45 when he deflected Vince Dunn's shot from the point through Tarasov's pads.

After hitting Matty Beniers into the boards, Cole Sillinger fought Vince Dunn at 12:03. Both Dunn and Sillinger were assessed fighting majors and Sillinger was given a two-minute minor.

The Kraken took the lead on the ensuing power play when Bjorkstrand fired a quick right-circle wrist shot past Tarasov at 13:42.

The Kraken led 4-3 after two periods and took a 28-22 advantage in shots on goal.

3rd Period

McCann scored his second of the game at 6:17 with a wrist shot from the slot through Erik Gudbranson and past Tarasov.

Dumoulin made it 6-3 Seattle lead at 8:28 with a left-circle toe-drag wrist shot.

The Blue Jackets had a chance to get one back at 12:18 when but Daccord robbed Sillinger from the right doorstep.

Emil Bemstrom scored his fifth goal of the season at 12:29 with a one-timer from the right circle thanks to a sweet feed from Kent Johnson.

Eeli Tolvanen ended any hopes of a Blue Jackets comeback with an empty net goal at 18:55 to give the Kraken a 7-4 lead.

With the loss, the Blue Jackets fall to 13-21-9.
