Jordan Eberle opened the scoring at 12:40 on the power play when he deflected Oliver Bjorkstrand's shot past Daniil Tarasov from the slot.

Jared McCann doubled the Kraken lead at 16:04 with a left-circle wrist shot on a two-on-one rush thanks to a nice feed from Eberle.

After 20 minutes the Kraken led 3-0 and had a 10-8 advantage in shots on goal.

No goals were scored in the second period, but it was a better frame for the Blue Jackets.

Entering the third period, Seattle led Columbus 3-0 on the scoreboard and 18-14 in shots on goal.

3rd Period

Kirill Marchenko had the Blue Jackets' best scoring chance of the game at 4:28 when he hit the post with a slap shot on the power play.

Yegor Chinakhov scored his 13th goal of the year to put the Jackets on the board at 7:12 with a short-side wrist shot from the left circle.

Chinakhov scored his second of the game at 15:58 after winning a board battle and skating into the slot where he fired a shot past Joey Daccord.

Brandon Tanev iced the game at 19:47 with an empty-net goal from his own blue line.

With the loss, the Blue Jackets fell to 15-24-10.
