The Columbus Blue Jackets will look to halt a three-game losing streak Monday night when they face the Edmonton Oilers north of the border. This is the fourth game of a so-far winless five-game road trip for the Blue Jackets.

Here are five things to know in advance of the 8:30 p.m. puck-drop:

  • The Oilers are coming off an absolute tire-fire of a loss, falling 9-1 on home ice to the Colorado Avalanche on Saturday night. That was despite a 7-for-7 night on the penalty kill. It was their third straight loss and they're won just two of their last eight games. This is also their last home game before a huge, seven-game road trip.

  • Head coach Dean Evason said it was untimely mistakes that cost them against the Canucks. "The goals that we gave (Vancouver), three are turnovers, and one’s a crucial part of the hockey game where we allow people to get in behind us for a semi breakaway. It just, it can’t happen," said Evason. "We can’t continually give those type of goals away where we’re not making teams earn them as much as we should be."

  • Kirill Marchenko continues to absolutely crush it this season. He has eight goals and eight assists for a team-high 16 points and has at least one point in all but two games this season. He has three goals in his last two games and is on pace for 94 points, which would be a club record.

  • Look for the goalie rotation to continue, as it has so far in every game this season. That means Jet Greaves should get the start. In seven starts so far, Greaves is 3-4-0 with a 2.89 goals against average and .907 save percentage.

  • (Updated 1:45pm) According to FanDuel Sports' Dave Maetzold, Evason says there is an illness going around right now and some players may not be available for the game. We don't know who those are, but this was the lineup used Saturday:
LW C RW
10 Dmitri Voronkov 19 Adam Fantilli 86 Kirill Marchenko
11 Miles Wood 23 Sean Monahan 91 Kent Johnson
4 Cole Sillinger 3 Charlie Coyle 24 Mathieu Olivier
38 Boone Jenner 65 Luca Del Bel Belluz 59 Yegor Chinakhov
LD RD
8 Zach Werenski 5 Denton Mateychuk
9 Ivan Provorov 78 Damon Severson
2 Jake Christiansen 15 Dante Fabbro
Starting Goalie Back-Up
73 Jet Greaves 90 Elvis Merzlikins
