Thinking back, so many years starting out we think, "we have a shot at the playoffs."

Then there are:

1. Bad starts in the first month or so
2. Key player injuries
3. Multiple injuries
4. Player drama
5. Coaching question marks
6. Lack of top talent
7. ....etc...etc...etc.
