The turnaround for the CBJ has been remarkable at 14-2-4. GM Waddell has certainly helped with the addition of key players like Marchment and Garland, but most of the credit has to go to the players and the new coach, Rick Bowness.
If the Blue Jackets continue their solid play, finish third in the Metro and win in the first round of the Playoffs only to fall in a spirited seven game series to the eventual Stanley Cup Champion Carolina Hurricanes in the Metro Division Finals, is it enough for Bowness win Coach of the Year? Does his great season get recognized by being at least a finalist for the award? What if they actually made it past Carolina to the conference finals, only to lose to the eventual SC Champion Buffalo Sabres? :-)
I would appreciate your thoughts!
